Shopify product CSV checker

Drop the CSV you plan to import into Shopify. The checker reads every row against Shopify's documented import rules and lists each problem with its line number and the fix, before you upload anything to your store.

Shopify product import

The product CSV you are about to import into Shopify, or the one Shopify just rejected.

Your file stays on this device

It is read and converted by this page, inside your browser. Nothing from the file is uploaded, and the tool keeps working offline once the page has loaded.

Questions

What does the checker look at?
The header row, file size and encoding, and every row: URL handles, titles, status, options and variants, prices, stock, weights, true or false fields, image links, tags, SEO fields and more. Each problem is tied to the rule Shopify documents.
If the check passes, will the import work?
It removes the errors that can be seen in the file. Shopify can still reject things the file cannot show: images that fail to download, product categories that do not match Shopify's list, or the daily variant limit on very large stores. Import a few products first.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. The page reads the file with your browser and converts it there. The only thing the site records is an anonymous count: which converter was used, a rough row count, and whether it worked. The privacy page lists every field.

Moving from another platform? Convert your product export to Shopify first; every converted file is checked automatically.
